"H... hello? Um, this is me-- ah, Noire! I'm Noire, and I'm very sorry for missing you somehow... I promise I'm not avoiding you, unless you're scary or you're Mo-- trying to curse me. U-um, so when I can figure out how to-- ( beeps ensue, followed by a shriek of fright ) O-oh, no! What did I push, how do I-- make it-- oh gods, did I break it?! W-why can't we just talk in person?!"

I think so too. [ nod nod ] And if he does anything out of line, we can sit on him or something.

[ Oz is still Ada's brother, so anything more than that might make her cross. But no promises if he deserves more than that... ]

Rightly so.

[ Even if Morgan could probably exact her own punishment perfectly well. He turns and pats Noire's bed. How can she sleep if she's sitting up? ]

[ Shh no it doesn't. Morgan slides down until his head is resting on her mattress and nestles himself there comfortably, feet resting against the opposite bunk. ]

Thanks for putting up with me, Noire. I feel loads better than I did before.

[ He smiles and closes his eyes as well. Time to see if this strategic bedtime story works... ]

Ahem.

"In the practical art of war, the best thing of all is to take the enemy's country whole and intact..."

[ And so the story goes, a tale of sieges and numbers, and the wisdom of knowing thine enemy. It's a dry story, but informative, and Morgan tells it as peacefully as anyone might tell a children's fairytale. ]

[ When he's done, he sits and listens to her breathing. It would be nice to stay and drift off too, and he has half a mind for it, but he's done enough sleeping for the week. It's a good couple minutes until he moves, turning to look at Noire. Then he stands to go, leaving the dummy by her bow, and closes the door quietly behind him. ]
