[ As much as they've snuggled and enjoyed each other's close company over the past month, the contact they make now burns him up.

Of course, he has no idea how she should kiss him back, or how to kiss her back while she's trying to kiss him back. He's never kissed anyone for longer than half a second. So he's no judge, really. But he'll learn that maybe he should ease up a little, give her a chance to retaliate so they can figure this out together. Maybe even remember to breathe, because that's important and he feels a little lightheaded. ]

[ Breathing is definitely very important-- as is learning on the fly, as nerve-wracking as it is when the learning involves mouth-to-mouth contact and she only really figures out that it's better if she doesn't keep her lips firmly pressed together like-- a full minute later. And she only learns that when she tries to take a quick breath, and then Noire realizes that it actually feels really good.

But she still needs to breathe, and so she'll pull back, practically gasping and still hanging onto him. ]

M-- Morgan--

[ Why does her voice sound so strange, breathless, hardly a whisper? ]

[ He laughs breathily, as good as panting now, and leans back so she can sit up more comfortably. To say nothing of the way she says his name, which only intensifies the redness of his face. ]

Say, that was a lot better than when I kissed Raphael. I think I'm starting to see the appeal.

[ She's not going far, just enough to lean back properly against the wall. Her face isn't going to be any less red anytime soon, and she absently brushes stray bits of hair away from her eyes as she musters a smile. ]

You did say... you were attracted to girls, so that makes sense.

Mystery solved!

[ He straightens up his robe (important) and rubs his cheeks, which now seem to be permanently lit, before flopping with a happy sigh onto the bed beside her. ]

I was wondering when you'd go for it.

Eh-- w-wait, you were waiting for me?? [ no, really, this is shocking. ] I was starting to think you might not want to, so this might have been selfish of me, b-but--!

What?! No way!

[ WHAT SHE SAYS IS MORE SHOCKING. ]

I've wanted to kiss you since the day of the party! ... And then some. But you said the first kiss should be meaningful, so I was waiting for when you thought there might be enough... meaning?

[ Whatever that might even mean. ]

[ And then some... ]

... That would have been anytime, Morgan. [ And she says that softly. ]

... Oh.

[ Goshdarnit. He stares up at her, cowed. ]

Well now I feel like a right banana.

Y-you're not! You were just trying to be considerate... thank you.

[ He still feels silly, but... ]

... You can kiss me anytime you want too, you know. Anytime is also good. For me.

Are... are you sure? I don't want to impose...

I'll never mind getting kissed by you, Noire! Any time, any place. Next month, next week, now... especially now. Right now. If you'd like.

[ He'd really like a kiss. ]

-- Oh! Um... do you want to close your eyes again?

Ha ha! Open, closed, blindfolded, it's all good to me.... though I do like to see you. But the suspense is nice too!

[ ... So okay he'll close his eyes, why not. ]

[ Noire's significantly less hesitant than when she started, although there's still great care in the way she rests one hand against his cheek and the other on his chest when she leans down to kiss him. She's feeling kind of silly for not having done this a lot sooner. ]

[ He smiles, quite liking the bare and delicate touch to his cheek, and moves one hand to cover hers on his chest. It's probably better that he's lying down, to check his eagerness, but it doesn't stop him from bringing his other hand to the back of her neck to keep her close. He's all too happy to smooth out this kissing deal sooner rather than later. ]

[ There, there, Morgan, she won't move (except to brace herself a bit so there's less of a risk of toppling over onto him). But of course she has to ask, a bit nervously-- ]

Was that all right?

Couldn't be righter.

[ He says it warmly, because it's true. Even if it wasn't the most confident or dexterous kiss, it was thoroughly Noire. ]

I'll bet that if you liked it, I liked it. And if you're not sure whether you liked it or not, I think you should keep trying until you're sure!

[ itt: morgan fishes for a trillion kisses please stop him ]

I definitely liked it! A-a lot, so...

[ but why would she-- ]

Good.

[ He gives her a pleased smile and shifts both hands to gently... squish her cheeks. ]

You're really cute, Noire.

[ Morgan, why. ]

I-- thank you, but I still don't really... understand how you'd think that--

[ He chuckles, having expected an answer like that. His fingers move back into her hair and begin to scratch lightly. ]

I don't suppose you would. But cuteness isn't really meant to be understood, I think! It just is.

[ There's a light shiver that runs through her, and then she'll lower her head to rest her forehead against his collarbone, sighing out a quiet, approving noise. ]

It's somewhat hard to respond to, though... [ nngh that feels good. ]

[ Ohoho. He grins and carries on, fingers tangling in her hair at their own luxurious pace. ]

I can think of a way or two to shut me up when you're not sure what to say.
